Grant Procedure

The Foundation makes about twenty (20) grants per year to 501(c)(3) organizations, totaling around $1,000,000. Our grants have varied from $5,000 to $400,000. Most are single grants; some are multi-year.  Grants are decided through competitive rounds in May and November each year.

The Foundation generally makes grants to support a new or expanded activity — such as a building fund, a new program, a new staff position, or expansion of existing programs. We may also provide “bridge” funding when an established organization has lost a funding source.

To be considered, an organization must show a feasible plan to complete and sustain the specific activity to which the grant pertains.
